Kevin Scott is a native of Wilmington, NC who relocated to Raleigh, NC in 2011. He simply enjoys teaching and helping kids grow academically. He graduated from Stanly Community College in 2011 with an A.A.S. in Early Childhood Education and an NC Early Childhood Administration License. He also graduated from North Carolina Central University in 2016 with a B.S. in Elementary Education with a license in Kindergarten- 6th Grade. He has been sharing his knowledge in classrooms since 2004, teaching from the preschool level to the 5th grade level. Currently, he serves as a 5th Grade Teacher & Grade Level Chair for the Wake County Public School System and has been for several years and was awarded The Employee Excellence Award for November 2022. He is currently pursuing his Masters in School Administration from North Carolina Central University. His hobbies include: reading, writing, and singing when he is not teaching. As well as being a teacher and business owner, he is also a dedicated husband and father.

My name is Ruthie Froning, and I am a graduate student at NC State University in Linguistics. I have a double Bachelor's degree in Biology and Linguistics from UNC Chapel Hill and currently work as a science communicator for the North Carolina Sea Grant. I have experience in both teaching and tutoring as well as a wide range of academic interests, and am comfortable tutoring grades K-7 in any subject.

Natasha Jones is a native of Kenansville NC who relocated in Raleigh NC in 2007. She really enjoys working with kids. Her favorite groups to work with are Pre K and Kindergarten children. She works really hard to ensure that each child that she works with is given all of the attention and work that he or she needs. Her motto is "You Can and You Will!". In 2017, she was Awarded Instructional Assistant of the Year. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education, and is currently studying to obtain her licensure in Early Childhood at Gardner Webb University.

Hello, my name is Ashanti Batts. I am 26 years old and I am from Raleigh, North Carolina. I have been married to my college sweetheart for two years. I graduated from North Carolina Central University in December 2020 with my bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I have been teaching third grade for four years. Although I have a degree in elementary education, I am familiar with upper grade standards so that allows me to work with any student at any grade level.

Hello, my name is Francesca Pierce, and I was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. I have been married since 2017 and have 2 beautiful boys ages 10 and 1. I graduated from Johnson C. Smith University in 2009 with a B.S. in Business Management. After graduating, Francesa taught Pre-K for 18 years where she also earned her early childhood education certificate in 2011. In 2021 I transitioned to Wake County Public System where I have had the opportunity to work with grades Pre-K-5. I absolutely love working with children and pouring into our youth. My teaching philosophy is centered around creating a positive and engaging learning environment, where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves to learn new things. I strive to use various teaching methods and strategies to make my students’ lessons fun and interactive. I am dedicated to helping our youth reach their academic goals to their fullest potential. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, travel, learning new recipes, volunteering, DIY. crafting, and the beach is my absolute happy place.
